Well, I'm not an expert but the best adsense guru I know is Griz. He makes mad money on Blogger blogs. Here's his take on <a href="http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2008-08-16T07%3A03%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=1">smart pricing</a>

Now, since you're not on Blogger, why don't you use WP plugins to avoid smart pricing from social traffic and only reveal to search engine traffic?

I recommend either Who Sees Ads or a modified version of Shylock Adsense.

Completely agree. It's one of the reasons why we don't put order forms on our site, we get people to phone instead. Then again we're more of a B2B service. I sympathise with you guys

Cheers, Jon

I still think there's a gap in many markets for an *honest* review blog. So many reviews you read are just thinly-veiled promotions. It may seem counter-intuitive but I think honest "warts and all" review sites will make more money in the long term, as their readers will trust their recommendations more - so they'll get higher conversions for the things they genuinely recommend

Just my two cents!

I couldn't agree with you more, it is really crazy to think about. A friend of a friend found out she was a victim of identity theft two weeks ago. Listening to her talk about it is amazing. Talk about having your whole life turned upside down. As a small business owner myself, if this happened to me I would be completely wiped out.

I use OpenX on a few different sites and it's perhaps the best available solution of its kind. I've yet to take targeting to the geographic level but your post has inspired me to do so.

I do not believe starting a blog for financial gain alone is a good idea even if you are interested in the subject. This article is very realistic. Unless you are getting a lot of traffic you will not make that much money. If a blogger is blogging simply for the joy of blogging that are much more not to get frustrated and give up.

It is a shame that google has this sort of power over decent blogs. But that is reality, and thanks for being real about it, and still keeping your site friendly for us, with the keyword and comment luv. Stay positive.

i posted a comment before and then read this post. Then i registered with same email as i posted but the previous posts won't become do-follow.

So i Recommend make it stand out, this post - rather letting it buried post after posts.
