I had this problem on a rebuilt virus killed pc... reloaded 4 or 5x, + flashed the bios, removed the reinstall partition...etc, but everytime the same problem, connect a wireless card or network cable and BSOD apparantly because of ndis.sys... the dump file though said it was avg files.... removed avg and I have internet access and no BSOD..... its the bought version, on the same licence on the same pc as the original setup that died which allowed the virus through in the first place! mmmm ? why I'm surpised now ?!!!!!

I have run into problems with security software in the past 2. They tend to over extend that which they should do, in the name of providing you with security. This can create all kinds of conflicts and problems. But is seems like you spotted this one well.

Joes last blog post..<a href="http://slow-computer-fix.blogspot.com/2008/12/how-to-clean-dust-out-of-your-computer.html">How to Clean the Dust out of your Computer</a>

Is the problem so critical with AVG? I used to have some system failures, and I wonder if this was it's fault.

I have had lots of trouble ever since I installed AVG. I thought it was a good idea, it had lots of positive reviews, but it has been a huge pain. I will uninstall it.... thanks for the tip.

I am constantly having these... Before that I had tcpip.sys BSoDs...
I switched from AV to Avast. Did not solve my problem tho. I am currently looking for a new Firewall (using COMODO atm).

I reinstalled my vista today in hopes it would help, but it did not.

*sigh*

Maybe its my RAM. I don't know, but I will keep on trying...

I am currently receiving the NDIS.sys bluescreen whenever I type my password into the login. I originally thought it was something to do with my video card displaying, (nvidia-display.sys shortened) but after googling around alot I have come to the conclusion that its a network issue.

Going into safe mode is fine, unless I use the "with networking" option.

I'm not too sure what it could be, I didnt update anything when I suddenly got the error its come out of the blue.

I will try uninstalling AVG to see if that fixes the issue, if not I will continue googling :P

*by the way I found this via google*
